Principal

Dr.K.S. Jain holds rich Academic, Industrial and Research experience of 38 years. He completed B. Pharm.(1980) from Bombay College of Pharmacy , Bombay University, M. Pharm. from l..M College of Pharmacy Gujarat University with the First Rank. He did his research in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Synthetic Medicinal) and got Ph.D. from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.

He is Recognized Ph.D& PG Research Guide - 7 Universities Guided with 5 Ph.D’s and 63 M.Pharm.’s to his credit.

He is Member of many professional bodies, ACS, IPA, APTI, ISTE, ASCI, Indian Soc. Chemists, and also on the Pharmacy Council of India- Inspection Committee

He is reviewer for many International and National Journals, as well as Poland National Science Center, NCN-Krakow.

He was Guest Editor: Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry(Bentham Science, USA), and is Assoc. Editor: Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (IJPER); Member Editorial Board: Curr. He has to his credit Research Grants Sanctioned : 1,18,00000 INR till date. He holds very high citation index (Google Scholar). He has Research Papers -102; Text books -17, Patents 2, Awards-18 to his credit and was cited in A-D Global Scientific Index

His Areas of Research: include Antihyperlipidemic, anticancer and anti-infective drug research, as well as Process Development of API, Drug Intermediates and Fine Chemicals, Green Chemistry, Custom Synthesis, Library Synthesis, Impurity Synthesis and Analytical Method Development.

He was member of Executive Council- DBATU. He was former Dean Pharmacy Faculty, Univ. of Pune, as well as, Ex. Member : Academic Council, Faculty, BOS, as well as Ex. Member : BCUD, Academic, & Research Grant Subcommittees at Univ. of Pune,

He has 16 awards, including Best Teacher Award as well as 8 Best Research Paper Awards.

He is an excellent orator and teacher and he has delivered over 165 lectures in thecountry, as well as in many countries in Europe, Middle East, Gulf & the US.

He wasa member on Inspection Panel- Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) & National Board ofAccreditation (NBA) Delhi & Universities like Pune Univ., Gujarat Univ. Dr. B.A. TechnologicalUniversity & Mumbai Univ.

He held positionsat National Level like Jt. Secretary, Western Zone, National Body Assoc. of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI);Joint Secretary-LOC- 54th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress-Pune-2004.
